Accidents Do Happen...

Yes, that's me strapped to the bed in a neck brace. Mick and I were involved in a nasty car crash on Sunday, which was not our fault. The Driver of the other Car pulled right across the road in front of us and we literally had no where to go. The force of the impact pushed the car off the road and we came to a stop, literally ten inches from a solid slate wall. Unfortunately, we both ended up in hospital. Mick had bad whip lash and they thought I had broken my neck!. I can honestly say it was extremely scary, especially after all I thought was wrong, was bruising to my sternum and whiplash. But when I was examined and they saw how tender and swollen my neck was. I was put in a neck brace, then strapped to a bed. I can understand why some people freak out, it one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. You feel very claustrophobic. Thankfully after 6 hours and loads of X-rays they decided that my neck wasn't broken, but I have torn all the ligaments and muscles in my neck and shoulders. The Doctor warned me that the pain, would get worse, before it gets better, as it takes up to 10 days for all the bruising to come out. I got up yesterday and hurt in places, I didn't even know I had. I'm just so thankful that we are not as badly injured as they first thought. We've certainly got someone looking after us. So most of this week has been taken up with trying to sort out stuff with the insurance, getting the Rental Car delivered and yesterday the Police came to take a statement from Mick and I. The other driver has admitted it was his fault, so we are hoping that it doesn't drag on for too long.
Ben made this lovely Apple Cake to cheer us up and I have to say it's yummy and I'll definitely be getting him to make it again.
Harry is on work experience this week, with one of our friends and is loving every minute. His School actually broke up yesterday for Summer. It's the Royal Welsh Show next week, so the Schools generally break up before the schools in England, so that the Farming Families can attend. So he's off now till September!!!!
Last night, at approx Midnight there was something digging on our muck heap. Now we have no light pollution here and it is Pitch Black of a night. If you look at the bottom picture up on the left hand side, can you make out the Grey Shape. It was a Badger, it was totally unfazed at us watching it and carried on merrily digging for worms. I'm hoping that if it comes back tonight, that I might be able to get some better pictures.

Shrove Tuesday ~ Pancake Day..

I was under strict instructions from Harry today, that we had to have Pancakes this evening, when he got in from school.
I was really good and only had one. It was Totally Lush...

Four Blue Boxes...

I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday. I did..
I spent the whole day sorting out my four Blue boxes. Where they'd been stored in the garage they were filthy.
I had everything out of every drawer. Scrubbed them and I mean scrubbed and disinfected them.
I then had the task of sorting everything into it's rightful spot and re-bagging everything that wasn't in a bag.
The first two boxes contained some of the stuff I used to take to the Fairs and a lot of the Food Stuff that I used to make for a Wholesaler, Importer/Exporter. You can see all my code numbers on the bags. I made approximately 30 different lines.
I also work in 1/24Th Scale as you can see by the pictures of the plates of food on the end of my index finger. Cornish Pasties and Sausage Rolls, can you imagine making 144 plates of each, which had to be exactly the same. Mind numbing LOL.. What do you think of the Cherry Pie, can you imagine rolling all those Cherries. If you click on the pictures, they will pop up bigger.
The next two boxes contain all the wonderful Glass that Ed has blown me. As I've been having this sort out, I did find a couple of boxes of Glass that had been mislaid in the move. So its all been put together in the drawers now.
I've still got loads of stuff to sort in the Garage, while I was in there yesterday, I came across an Ikea wooden box, that is filled to the brim with the Original Fimo, so won't have to buy any Clay for a while.
On the more personnel front, we have a meeting at the Boy's School this evening. Its time for Harry to pick the subjects he wants to study for his GCSE's. They have to take English, Welsh, Math and Science. He now has to decide on the other four!
Tomorrow I'm having my CT Scan, so hopefully they will be able to find out what's causing all this water retention and swelling.

Miniature Pictures...

I've spent far to much time this morning uploading pictures in to my album on A.I.M, which Vicky created for me last night. Thank you Vicky.
I've quite enjoyed looking through the pictures at some of my work. I think you forget sometimes what you've done.
Thought I'd share a few with you all... Enjoy xxx

Crackers... Christmas All Over Again...

Well as I told you on Thursday, one of my dearest friends Tanya came to stay with her children for a long weekend.
We've all had such a laugh even the kids.
Now Tanya was supposed to come up for Mick's 40th Birthday, but Ayden caught Swine Flu so they couldn't.
Then I ended up in Hospital.
Then they were supposed to come at Christmas, but Tanya's car broke down so again a no show.
So you can imagine the relief for all of us, when they made it this weekend.
I'd saved a tin of Quality Street and other assorted sweets for them all and we recreated Christmas Dinner. (Look Mags told you we had Prawn Cocktail LOL). Well everyone except Ayden who had Pate, he doesn't like Prawns. Turkey Crown, Gammon, Roast Potatoes, Roast Parsnips, Peas, Carrots, Broccoli, Pigs in Blankets, Stuffing, Yorkshire Puddings and lovely thick gravy. We even wore our paper hats after pulling the crackers.
And if your wondering after all that baking I did, well there is not a crumb left in the house...
